What she sent me was strange and bizzare

A fellow mum who I know from my DC's school sent me a snapchat this morning of her DD's poop floating in the bath 😶
Her DD(2yrold) wasn't in the bath but on the video you could see the mum, hand in the bathwater moving the bubbles around so she could get clear footage of 2 turds floating at the bottom, all the while giggling to herself.
She then decided to send the footage via snapchat for me to open 😏
We don't really know each other, we say hello and make small talk on the school grounds and that's about it. We're both in our mid 30s. She added me on Facebook and snapchat shortly after her DS and my DC started school together.
AIBU unreasonable to think this is bloody weird or am I, as my DH put it, being childish cause "it's just poop"

You could always send her one back Grin

Flufferbum · 12/02/2020 10:45

Poo in the bath and send it to her. That’ll show her.

Bezalelle · 12/02/2020 10:56

YABU to have Snapchat. It's for 13-year-olds!

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 12/02/2020 10:59

She probably just sent it to everyone thinking it was funny. Is it on her story's?

It probably wouldn't cross my mind to think of again.

Also questioning why two thirty something mothers have Snapchat Confused

Bluerussian · 12/02/2020 11:00

Just ignore it. Carry on as though you never saw.

She may have thought it funny but I wonder if her child will if she finds out in a few years.

CruCru · 12/02/2020 11:08

Yes, just ignore it. If she didn't mean to send it to you then it's kinder to pretend that you didn't see if (if that is possible on Snapchat - I don't have it).

If she did mean to send it to you, it's probably a sign that you aren't going to be best buds.

Mumto1girl3boys · 12/02/2020 11:09

Cant believe you actually thought so much about it youve started a thread....jeezo

FoamingAtTheUterus · 12/02/2020 11:25

I've got Snapchat and I'm old. Blush

BlueHarry · 12/02/2020 11:32

I'm more interested to find out so that people my age have Snapchat. What does it do? What's its purpose? Is it just friends you know or can you be connected to anyone random (like on Twitter etc)? I thought it was for late teens/early twenty year olds to post naked pics or something Blush

LowbrowVictoriana · 12/02/2020 11:32

I’m a 50 something mother with Snapchat 🙄.

What this woman sent you was gross. I can only think it was intended for someone else. Even then, who the heck sees poo in the bath and thinks “must photograph that!” . And then shares it. Yuck!

lowlandLucky · 12/02/2020 11:38

Nothing is sacred theses days, bet her Daughter will love her in 10 years time when someone uses it to embarrass her

SandAndSea · 12/02/2020 11:50

I don't know what's weirder, photographing your child's poo or sending the photo to someone. They're both pretty weird.

7Worfs · 12/02/2020 15:03

I can’t believe the chilled responses Shock

Pretending you weren’t ambushed with shit so that she doesn’t get a bit embarrassed? Pft!
Shame that cow with no boundaries.

Undies1990 · 12/02/2020 15:13

I'd ignore it as she probably sent it to you by mistake - easily done on snapchat!

On a separate note, I'm nearly 50 and have snapchat ✊🏻

ButterflyRuns · 12/02/2020 20:26

I’m 38, and while not a mother yet, I have Snapchat. Why not? Adult women use other social media.

FizzyIce · 12/02/2020 20:48

Alrighty then ...Confused

Microwavedtea · 12/02/2020 20:51

I cant remember how snapchat works as I havent had it for years but could she have sent it by mistake to you?

AcrobaticCardigan · 12/02/2020 21:15

It was one of those mum moments she obv found funny & she’s shared with her snapchat followers. It’s unlikely she scrolled her Snapchat contacts & specifically picked you out...

PatriciaBateman · 12/02/2020 21:15

It's poop-humour (aka primary school-level) no snobbishness here

I'd find it revolting. DH would crack up laughing, and probably forward it on.

fuckoffImcounting · 12/02/2020 21:19

Some of us love a bit of lavatory humour - it would have made me laugh, but I've learned to my cost to keep my poop jokes to myself.
