Because I've come to like mine lol.

My love handles - different story. Asked my gym instructor for exercises to target the area and he was like 'Well basically that's fat'. He did give me exercises though.

But I've come to accept my little belly!

I have a tiny waist and flat tummy (size 4-6) What I don't have is some fairly significant internal organs and some really rather spectacular surgical scars.

I was watching Under the Skin recently - a very odd 2013 SF film starring Scarlett Johansson - who for great chunks of the film is naked, or as near naked as makes no difference. It was refreshing to see an A-lister looking like a real woman and not a buffed, ripped Barbie. I remember thinking she's got a lovely tummy.

@Walnutwhipster what organs are you missing?

Really love some of these posts!! Sooooo much more healthy to love your body, look after it well, be happy in it and appreciate what it has and does do for you! It's bloody liberating to not be a twenty something anymore, worrying about every lump and bump and starving/torturing myself to be 'perfect'.

It's taken me YEARS to get there but I'm now 40 and happier with it than ever. Not because it's slimmer but because I have got to the age of actually it's bloody okay my body and I'm proud of it!! Husband loves it, it works, it's given us 3 babies, enables me to do all the things I want it to (despite the abuse it had in my younger stupid years)!

The one thing that's changed aside from getting past those stupid younger years is yoga in the last year ...A-mazing !! And has done more for me physically than anything I've done in the past (running, swimming, gym).
