Turn the radio on. Find something you like. Tadaaaa! Also the same faces are always going to be in soaps. That’s the point. And yes Holly, Phil, Ant and Dec etc are ITV stars. So put Strictly on or something. You can’t whinge that pop culture is too boring and then not actually look for anything else.

I really like:
Radiolab episodes.
Radio 3 breakfast - very gentle and easy to listen to
Liza Tarbuck on radio 2 on saturdays - perhaps too middle aged for you? Couldn't get the hang of her at first then suddenly started laughing.
Craig Charles - does random shows, but I love funk so I always like his stuff
Words and Music on Radio 3 - always discover something there

Middle aged is, exactly right for me. And Liza Tarbuck is great. I'll check out radiolab. I love desert island discs.

Get Netflix, there's so many box sets and films to watch that there's no need to even have normal tv.

I'm ditching it when my virgin contract gets renewed soon, I'll just have internet and save myself the tv charge and licence fee
