Before I start this is definitely a Would I be unreasonable as I think I probably would but I wanted to check as it would make my life easier.
DS2 (5) does after school swimming lessons which are a bit of a fraught mess. The showers are pool side and usually have a queue. The changing rooms are tiny and you can barely fit the 2 of us in. He is good at getting dressed but needs help as he tends to dawdle when he's tired. He is NT.
Until recently, I have had the luxury of paying someone to have DS1 (9) while I take DS2 swimming. DS1 has ASD, learning difficulties and continence issues. Unfortunately they can't do it anymore and he has to come with us. He is generally pretty good, but hates any waiting around, tends to wander off and decided today when DS2 was trying to get changed that he desparately needed the toilet (Which is the other side of the changing rooms).
After a bit of touch and go getting him to the toilet and having to leave DS2 on his own, I realised there is a disabled cubicle with a shower and toilet in it. It's huge so we wouldn't all be falling over ourselves and DS1 couldn't wander off.
Would we be unreasonable to use the disabled cubicle even though DS1 isn't swimming? It feels like a dick move if I'm honest, but DS1 can be unpredictable.
YANBU just use the cubicle
YABU leave it for a swimmer with a disability
