To ask if I can take melatonin through customs to the USA

I take melatonin - 3mg, produced by a company in Netherlands called Vitabix, and going to the US.

Is it legal to take it through customs?

A docs signature for the Netherlands brand? Oh, I didn't know that - sorry. I've bought direct without before. Maybe it's changed.

I agree it’s ridiculous we can’t buy it over the counter in the UK. I always stock up when I’m in France.

I can also recommend buying from a website called pipingrock.com . I've been ordering melatonin from them for around two years now with no problems. I just put in an order last night for 500 tablets (2 bottles of 250) x 3mg. Cost including postage was £10-something.

My son has it on prescription in the UK. Went to Florida last year and got some in the pharmacy but had no idea if it was good or not.

He finds it hard to fall asleep so slow release isn't ideal.

@AesopsMables - do you think the gummies would act quicker?

They do act much quicker.
I buy them from Target (Nature Made) as their normal branded tablets are perfectly adequate however I use the 'Dreamy Strawberry' gummies when getting on a night flight as they act within 30mins (normal tablets take an hour)

zero affect day after as wake as normal!

I’m in the US. My doctor says that new research suggests that .3 to .5 is the best dose and not the high-dose formulas, as those can ultimately mess with sleep.

I should add that I only take them when on long haul flights (approx once per month)
