Who are you really?

I'm 100% convinced that I should have been born in France, learned piano, had a horse and obviously spoken French.

Who do you feel you are? Or am I the only one who feels they were born in the wrong country? And era.

Seriously though, it's like a memory in some things. I don't have to learn French - it just reminds me of words I know? Same with piano. And France, I feel at home there.

I'm convinced I should have been one of Henry VIII's wives (hence my MN handle!) I have an inexplicable affinity and interest for all things Tudor and even though I know he was a horrendous tyrant, a weird affection for Henry VIII that I can't explain.

I think I was probably born in the right era but definitely in the wrong country. I should have been born in Greece on a little Greek island. I haven't been to Greece for years but the last time I was there I went to Athens and kept being mistaken for a local. People would randomly start chatting away to me in Greek and be rather surprised when I explained I was British.

Comfortable, French intelligentsia in the mid-late 19th century, loving mostly in Paris, my salon would be the place to be seen and to debate and exchange ideas. Obviously lovers, literature and music with a nice country pad to invite all my artist pals to. I would spend my day writing books and penning letters to the literati of the day who would all be close friends.

I do actually have a real and abiding passion for France, despite not spending great amounts of time there and French - from the very first moment I had my first French lesson at 11 years old.

I’m another one who should be from the future (or a different planet?) so I could be true to my username Sad

In the middle ages i was a wandering hermit, in my beloved Welsh mountains, lived in a cave with my hunting dogs. I have flashbacks regularly, vivid dreams more like, probably .........?

I don’t know if I should or shouldn’t have been born in the time/place that I was but I’ve always had a strong pull towards Japan. Since around 9yo I became fascinated with the rural areas and temples and went on to learn as much as I could because it interested me so much. I probably know more about Japanese history than I do my own countries history and I find both quite fascinating Confused

I'm Scandinavian, for certain. Tall, very blonde and very direct.

I grew up on skis and am perfect on them, love the outdoors, love cold, love snow, love being near nature and water. I am strong as an ox and never get sick. I've been to Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway and despite their differences feel comfortable in each place, like I've come home.

I believe I once lived an aristocratic lifestyle in the early 19th century.
I always forget that I'm poor. I seem to have a sense of entitlement ( not in an awful way), I'm not easily impressed and I love and feel an affinity to the luxurious things in life. My I am not easily impressed and feel more important than I actually am in society.
( Or reading this perhaps I'm a narcissistConfused)

I've always been a very itchy feet, nomadic kind of person and have always been drawn to mountains, those landscapes have always called to me right from my childhood. I always felt like I should live in a wild, rugged, mountainous place, and I was fascinated by both Alaska and Canada in particular. I was born in NI but moved away to uni as soon as I could and then have travelled and worked abroad for long periods all through my 20s and into my 30s. I had long-term relationships but never settled down and never wanted children, I don't like to be tied down. I was always drawn to Canada, and the very first time I went there, to the Rockies in Alberta, I immediately felt like I was at home. It was where I belonged. I now live in Alberta, on the doorstep of the mountains, and although there are some things I miss about the UK I am so happy here. It's home, I fit here. It makes me feel free but finally content, and is where my heart and soul belong.

For me, I know I had a past life in Louisiana. It sounds mental but think Steel Magnolias but maybe slightly earlier era, maybe 50’s. I know I had one of those huge white houses, with a wraparound porch and a surrounding garden with a huge tree and a treehouse for my kids and they’d be out there playing ball with our dog until I call them in for dinner each night.

There’s something about a small close knit community, where everyone knows each other, and their parents and grandparents. There’s events and fairs throughout the year, and everyone meets at church on Sundays. There’s always someone to lean on and someone to gossip about.

Never been to America, and I’m totally non religious and anti social, but I know that’s where I come from.
