To not really understand how leaving the EU will directly impact us

Just reading the brexit threads. I voted remain as I didn’t really understand the benefits to leaving.

Now it’s actually happening I’m a bit confused. I mean I understand how not being in the EU directly effects businesses trading with EU countries and ultimately job losses which of course is significant.

I’m not clear about how this effects things like our children’s future, homelessness, education and the NHS? I hear people are concerned but I don’t understand the direct connection?

Well don't worry Davros, anyone will be able to call anything Cheddar now.

I wonder about the Brits living in the EU and using their UK driving licences. Getting car insurance in let's say Ireland will be fun starting January because they will go over the 12 months of insurance period, hence their licence won't be an EU licence which normally makes the insurance rather costly.
I'm not sure how's it going to be with the passports checks. Will they have to use the Non EU citizens checks at the airport now?

Oh, and the Brits will have to apply for ETIAS before flying to the EU.

No-one knows yet.
But it's better than uncertainty. Which sounds like a misnomer - but we'll know soon.
It's really not all doom and gloom - although it may be partially doom and gloom and gloom, but we don't know yet.
Basically everything will be the same until the end of the year.

R4, the briefing room, was good last night.
Speaker said: most trade agreements are about how to remove barriers.
This trade agreement will be about how to build up barriers.
No one has a clue how long that kind of exercise should take.

Has Trump's team made a trade deal with ANYONE?
He's thrown up a lot of barriers, and ripped up trade deals. I guess NAFTA got a few adjustments.
