Please tell me I'm not the only one....

DH opens a video etc on phone and the volume is FULL BLAST. It drives me insane.

Not only that, but his ring/text tone is also full volume so all I hear is DING DING FUCKING DING!

🤯

Erm, ask him to turn it own or better yet- Silent?

or are you hoping his mind reading skills automatically know you're pissed off with him without you uttering a word? Hmm

What else do you EXPECT him to know/ read minds on?

Wingedharpy · 30/01/2020 01:28

Is he going deaf?

12thofnever · 30/01/2020 01:39

Just imagining him sitting on the bus watching you tube 😂
I’m assuming you’ve said “Holy Shit that’s loud” to him

NameChangeNugget · 30/01/2020 01:56

Why don’t you tell him via the medium of mime?

HalfBearOtherHalfCat · 30/01/2020 02:30

This is my DH too. Unbearably loud phone alerts/videos and often has the TV at a volume I find verging on physically uncomfortable. I frequently go and sit in my office (three rooms and two hallways away) and can still hear every word and ding!

I have suggested that he might want to get his ears checked in case his hearing is failing, but he doesn't listen.

I suppose I should be grateful this is about the only thing he does which aggravates me Hmm

GiveHerHellFromUs · 30/01/2020 06:48

My DP does this too. Plays videos full blast. While I'm watching TV!

It infuriates me. I ask him to turn it down then he moans that he can't hear it over the tv Grin

Blondie1092 · 30/01/2020 17:14

Ok to the smart asses I thought maybe it would be already assumed I'm telling him to turn it down? But clearly that needs spelled out 🙄

@HalfBearOtherHalfCat @GiveHerHellFromUs I have mentioned that too him about getting his ears checked. This didn't go down well 😂

I actually have really sensitive ears so I can't deal with certain noises and noise levels (I went to the audiologist - I'm not just being a princess!) so I have an excuse and use it against him all the time. I suggested you try that Wink

Tombliwho · 30/01/2020 17:30

My DH always has his phone offensively bright Grin I like to have my brightness turned down pretty much less than half. He hands me his phone to look at something and I'm blinded!

GiveHerHellFromUs · 30/01/2020 17:31

We have that issue too @Tombliwho! He's always like "how the hell can you see anything on that screen?"

He's 10 years older than me so I blame his age Grin

geekone · 30/01/2020 18:04

My DH works in a very noisy place and his volume for calls are at top volume. We can here every call from both sides. At least I know he isn’t having an affair Grin. But it drives us mad.

Blondie1092 · 30/01/2020 20:12

You know @geekone my DH works out on sites all day and farms in the evenings. He also talks quite loud at times without realising. You've made me think that's probably the reason why... it's the noise around him that he's used to 🤔

Nothing to do with the thread but just reminded me...

I was in hospital earlier this week in the waiting room and there was a guy who was playing candy crush full volume, absolutely blasting it out. Everyone was looking at each other wondering why the fuck he wouldn’t turn it down / giving disapproving looks etc.

One of the ladies on the reception desk went up to the guy and tapped him and told him the volume was on... he was deaf. BlushGrin He laughed, we all laughed. It was funny. Grin
