Just that really. I really thought they had a great marriage and so sorry to hear they have split after 20 years. They got married the same time as me and I've always had an interest in them . I suppose no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. I wish them and their family all the best at this tough time.

I gather Fern isn’t actually as nice as she likes to portray herself. I knew someone who worked with her.

Also the PR aspect of tweeting exactly the same at the same time to announce it, obviously from management rather than personal. Their lives have been quite separate for a long time I would imagine.

I had no idea they were a couple and wouldn't ever have put them together!

It's always sad when a long term relationship ends. Hopefully it was amicable and there's no nastiness/bitterness.

Twenty years is a long time and I imagine it'll be a big adjustment, especially after the loss of her father so recently.

Fern's great, she's much more switched on and intelligent than vacant Holly. And Phil's a great chef. The statement seems amicable and as good-natured as the split of a 20 year marriage can be.

Jesus,I've just read that their daughter is 18, I remember Fern joking about having to dash off and bf her off set. Seems like yesterday!

Ex BIL used to manage her local garden centre and she threw an absolute tantrum, total hissy fit because he wouldn't deliver her purchases, she even said don't you know who I am...

I agree that it's a real shame, but I'm sure I read a hint of this on a gossip site recently, but hoped it was wrong.
I also remember reading that she's suffered with depression over the years.
Hope she is OK.
