How on earth can anyone be arsed selling anything on FB

Listed an item

Replied to around 150 messages of "Is this still available"

No response.

"Does it have X?"

Yes, I said it did in the advert and it's also clearly in the picture so, yes.

"will you deliver?"

No, again I said in the advert, collection only.

"will you take a fiver?"

That is literally a 75% reduction, so no.

Somebody was meant to be coming to collect said item tonight after I spent an hour sending them pictures from every single angle in the planet and answering his 1000 questions about a very very simple uncomplicated item and he appears to have dropped off the face of the planet.

Arghhhh I would rather just take the item to the bloody tip it would be less hassle but as it is plastic I thought it would be better someone else got the use of it.

How can anyone ever be arsed?!?!

I remember actually I sold a TV a couple of years ago on there and the guy messaged me 18 months later asking if I had the manual for it!!

I will never understand why people list things as free then add the price in the description. All it does is piss me off and even if it was a good price, makes me not want to buy it from that person.

Babynamechangerr · 30/01/2020 23:04

This is not filling me witb hope for offloading the baby stuff we're done with.

Note to ebay sellers in London - if you just say you live in London without giving a rough postcode (eg W4, SE1 or whatever) then I assume you get a lot of unnecessary messages asking where the pick up location is. I live in Surrey so I'll travel to SW / W London but if you're NE then it's too far. I don't understand why people aren't more specific.

I'm doing wel selling kitchen stuff - kitchen bin sold in 5 minutes (assuming they pick up as scheduled but they were polite and didn't send any stupid messages so I am hopeful). Washing machine also went in 10 minutes (again pending collection as I'm still using it). Far better results than some of the other stuff. Agree kallax units sell like hot cakes! I actually sold mine without posting them as someone was looking for some a week before I was going to put them on!

I gave our 4x4 Kallax unit to Sil and Bil. They were supposed to give me something for it but they never did. Wish I’d advertised it now. Hmm

This will probably jinx things but I have been really lucky. Maybe it depends where you live? Relatively small area where I live and where people know people. I was giving something away once, I got chatting to the retired guy who came to collect and he offered to do a small DIY garden type job that required some skill (that was his trade) just because I happened to mention it. He said he'd pop back in a couple of days with the correct tools if I paid him in a couple of beers. He did. Job done. Was so thankful

I can't stand the amount of "huns" per message after I've listed something on market place, so I've also stopped selling on there.
