There’s the drama llama ones, the mundane ones, and the horrific ones. I always hope the horrific ones are the fake ones, but sadly it’s usually the first two.

I joined for the batshit ones, mostly for entertainment purposes.

I am really pleased this many people think a lot of the posts are bats batshit, however I do wonder if we post our most batshit reads we will then argue amongst ourselves what constitutes bat shit

I do think a lot of it made up or exaggerated.

There is a reason why peak mumsnet is a thing, and why mumsnet has the internet persona that it has.

It isn't because of some penis beaker or daily mail intake, and it sure as shit isn't because it is full of intellectual debate.

No, it really shouldn't.

I read many threads wondering how these people function as adults considering how feeble and pathetic they are. And then you get the neurotic/ touchy ones who taken offense at absolutely anything. Bonkers and both kinds must be so tiring for their families.

In all cases, I feel really sorry for their kids. What a legacy to be brought up with having a parent who is unable to be a strong, loving, sensible role model.

It's batshit at times and so very far removed from my real life (thankfully), that's what makes it entertaining.

I come back because it reminds me that I live a very mundane and drama free life.
