Bump but not pregnant?

Posting for traffic as other boards are dead..
4 months ago there was a chance I was pregnant, I even had a few symptoms and expected a positive pregnancy test but it was negative and my period arrived on time. I put it to the back of my mind and moved on. But today I woke up and I’ve got a ‘bump’ it’s quite big solid and round and definitely noticeable. Also have been feeling like a deep vibrating similar to baby movements all week which I put down to wind. The same thing happened at this stage with my children but I knew I was definitely pregnant and had positive tests from 4 weeks. I took another test and it’s negative. I’ve had 2 periods since so I don’t believe I am pregnant but AIBU to make a doctors appointment to find out why I suddenly look 6 months pregnant overnight? I have pcos so I know it could be related to that and I’ve already had a period so it’s not bloating, no stomach problems either and it hasn’t gone down or changed all day as I’d expect if it were that. If it were an ectopic or another complication I’d be in agony by this point wouldn’t i? Prepared to be told I’m being a hypochondriac but does any one know what could be causing this. Tia

The only way you’ll find out what is causing this is by seeing a doctor so I’d make an appointment ASAP if I were you

My mum didn't know she was preg with me until 16 weeks, she had regular periods and neg pregnancy tests. She went to the doctor cause she noticed her tummy was getting a little bigger and she was seriously concerned something was the matter with her. This was 34 years ago and I was her 3rd.

I would definitely go to the doctor.

Tunnocks34 · 25/01/2020 23:38

Maybe a cyst? Or maybe you are pregnant I heard that past a certain gestation the high concentration of HCG can over give false negatives. Either way, a visit to your GP or
Local walk in required!

Go to the doctor as it could be an ovarian tumour

MummyFriend · 25/01/2020 23:53

I have IBS and get this exact same thing. It's not uncommon. Go to see your GP if you're worried.

KellyHall · 25/01/2020 23:53

Definitely go to the doctor. Or call your local early pregnancy unit for advice from a midwife. A friend of mine didn't get a positive result until she was 6 months pregnant!

Thanks everyone glad I’m not over reacting. I asked a friend who is a nurse and she said it’s probably a phantom pregnancy although after the first negative test I forgot about it completely so can’t see how it could be that!? I will book an appointment on Monday

@Lillyhatesjaz
I don't think that's very helpful especially at 11.55 on a Saturday night.

Yes please go to a doc. If you suddenly look pregnant, whether you are or not, you def need to go.

Cyst bloating or at the extreme end ovarian cancer. You need to see a doctor.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 26/01/2020 00:04

Go to your GP. Overnight I bloated up, stomach was hard & felt really uncomfortable. Went to GP, although it had gone down a bit 2 days later I could still feel a hard lump. It was diagnosed after an ultrasound scan as a large ovarian cyst. At times I could feel movement, almost like being pregnant again.

soulfulsarah · 01/02/2020 11:13

I'd see your gp. I had these symptoms recently and only due to severe low abdominal pain I went and got checked. I had an emergency ultrasound and internal examination. Not pleasent at all but I'd rather know what's going on with my insides. Turns out that I have a small cysts and a large one (the more painful one) growing on my right ovary and fallopian tube. Awaiting further scans and tests now to make sure they're harmless and treatable. Sorry for the blunt answer but it's definitely worth actually speaking to your GP about. I did the worst thing possible and googled my symptoms and sooooo many scenarios came up.
