I hear a text. Would rather reply to a text than have to answer a phone immediately and get caught up in conversation. I can reply quickly and get on. Each to their own I guess.

Yes, the text beeps, but the phone rings for longer. The beauty of a text is that it can be sent and answered any time. However, the phone is good if you need an immediate answer.
