I have just been to visit my Aunt and Uncle, both early 80s, very quiet living couple.
They live in a culture de sac of other retired folks.
They have put up a sign on the gatepost at the end of their drive.
They proudly made it themselves.
The house is now named "Belle End"
Do I tell them??

I'm convinced they know exactly what a bell end is and it's a clever pun especially if the cul de sac is called Belle Something Road. The Darkness managed to get their single to Christmas no 1 containing the words 'Bells End' and 'Ring in peace', both of which have double meanings.

Just because they're old doesn't mean that they don't know what it means! 😁 My parents were both born in 1920 and they would certainly know, despite being very involved with the church, the WRI and the Women's Guild. My mother had impeccable gaydar and was doing the shopping for cross dressers in her early 20s, while my father had been rousting sailors out of foreign brothels in the late 1930s...🤣 Despite their prim facade in their later years, they had been partying hard in their 20s and 30s.

I think older people are often more savvy than we give them credit for!If they are in their 80s then they would have been young during the swinging 60s surely! I think its their idea of a joke TBH .Many years agp when we were married, had a lovely Vicar who was really as you would imagine one to be like very straight ,quietly spoken and so on.Had to go to marriage classes to prepare for our wedding .we discussed aspects of married life and the best /worst bits .He said Sex is definitley the best part and plenty of it ! (You could hear a pin drop!)
