To ask how much you pay for contact lenses and where from?

Mundane I know but I desperately need to order some contact lenses on a budget. Please could you tell me where and what you get if you have a good provider?

Boots contact reward scheme £8.50 per month for a set of monthly silicone lenses. I purchase cleaning fluid and cases separate as that still keeps price lower than when it is included.

I pay a fortune for daily Clariti hydrogel lenses, and have just switched to multifocals - £41 a month. I could get them a bit cheaper online, I know, but I pay for a package which includes regular lens checks, because I went through a period of really struggling with dry eyes on a different brand. I am happy to pay the extra £5 or so for peace of mind as a daily lens wearer.

Not all contact lenses are created equal and the best lenses for you (whilst being price conscious) aren’t necessary best for another person. Have a chat to your optician with your optician about what lenses are suitable for you. Monthly or even annual replacement lenses may be much cheaper than dailies if you wear them every day for example, whereas daily’s work out much cheaper if you only wear lenses on weekends, In order to legally purchase lenses online you will need a prescription following a contact lens fitting, to ensure the lenses you like fit well and give the best vision.

Really love boots opticians. Pay £19 month for two-weekly excellent quality lenses (cant remember name). This also includes all eye checks and contact lense checks, 50% frames and 10% off boots products.

Like previous posters I go with acuvue oasys for astigmatism, usually feel good contacts or other budget onlines. Still works out about £45 a pair of packs so I don't wear as much as I would like. I have dry eyes (blepharitis) so don't feel its worth downshifting to a cheaper brand, I just wear glasses more often

Focus dailies from vision direct £38 a month. Would be cheaper if I bought 3 months at a time. Interesting to that Asda is £18 a month, going to have a look now!

Daysoft...I've been wearing daily disposables for about 20 years, for 10 years before that I was using monthly disposables. The daysoft silk are the most comfortable I've ever used and the cheapest.

I use acuvue moist and get them from Feel Good Contacts. They almost always have a discount code available also x

Specsavers - I pay £14 a month for monthly lenses (is not daily disposables). That includes solutions and checkups. I need to see an optician regularly as I'm very high prescription and at risk of certain problems like glaucoma

£33 per month for daily disposables from Boots. They are a little more expensive due to higher water content. The plan also includes annual contact lens test and sight test.

Interesting thread. I’ve been meaning to ask about monthly contacts. I pay £13 a month and get three pairs and solution and case every three months. Also free eye checks and lenses checks from SS. Although I have been using them every day for about six years I find they now never last a month. Lucky if they last for two weeks. Have tried more expensive ones from SS but no joy. Anyone have any ideas why please? Would I be better off with dailies I wonder?

I've just cancelled my specsavers subscription, as I wear monthly torics but I don't wear them anywher nearly as much in winter so I've got a stack of lenses backed up.

I've just tried the Comfi lens solution from feel good contacts, and I noticed they have a page with a table that shows the specsavers lenses and the normal name given to them by the manufacturer. So I can get the exact same lenses cheaper there. I think the solution is better than specsavers, too.

I now get my glasses from Asda, near to my workplace, and will be talking to the optician about lenses too.
