To be upset that my sister has made her dd put her pocket money in dd's birthday card?

I am furious tbh
She rang this morning as her dd is coming to stay.
We always send £20 cash for birthdays.
So she casually mentions that when her dd was writing out my dd's birthday card she asked her for some money to go in. Apparently she then went oh eff off use your pocket money.
I don't want to accept her pocket money. It doesn't feel right.
There are so many other issues with my sister tbh and loads more to her being my sister. I just haven't got all day and would be worried that because of the situation she would know instantly.
I am just fed up with people not making an effort. Oh and she has the money, no excuse.
Sorry feel better for that!

i dont think id be happy accepting a childs pocket money for your childs birthday present, maybe tell your dd (dont know how old she is) where it has come from and it would be nice not to take it.....

other than that id be a bit baffled!

That's disgusting! Fair enough if your niece had wanted to use some of her own money to buy a little something for her cousin's birthday but for the mum to make her give your dd her pocket money is awful. I wouldn't accept it & tell your dd why not.

That's awful - I'd be tempted to go the route of slipping £20 back to my neice as pocket money as LL suggests.
