My DD13 has been going on about BTS for months so I looked them up, saw this and my jaw dropped.

There are people who upload content on weibo and instagram and gets fucktons more views and likes on weibo - because the Chinese population is huge and more people see it. KPop is massive all across Asia, so massive views naturally follow. Even songs that are considered weak by KPop fans still rack up millions of views without effort.
