My cousin just has me in utter awe!! She LITERALLY has it all and is only 23!
1.So she is GORGEOUS...now I mean stunning!!, tall but not too tall!!She is slim but has shape.

  1. Her hair is naturally long, wavy and a great natural colour.
  2. She has PERFECT teeth (no braces needed),and great skin!
  3. She is musically talented, plays the flute to a very high grade.
  4. She did engineering in university and got an extremely well paid job straight out of it! The job she is in has told her they will now pay for her to do her masters!!
  5. She is an overall genuine person, with a great personality and she is very social.

Anyone else know one of these super species?? 🤣🤣 it’s like she won every genetic lottery going!!

Since when was envy light hearted ?

Parttimers · 22/01/2020 21:07

It’s not envy, I said I was in awe! Why can’t I say I’m in awe?? Why is there always someone ready to tear ppl down?? 🙄 I am happy with myself I just know where I “didn’t win the genetic lottery” shall we say?!

I understand you OP! I know one but add hilarious and effortlessly stylish. I love her so much and just want to revel in her awesomeness :-) And she married a male version (more or less - he's a bit overly obsessed with exercise to be too perfect!) Gorgeous couple inside and (as an extra bonus) outside too. They're part of the reason I am always suspicious of people who make too much of a connection between looks and shallowness and bitchiness.

Parttimers · 22/01/2020 21:21

Oh @griefmonster how lovely that she found someone just as amazing. I do worry sometimes that men think she’s a tad ditsy or something but she can hold her ground, I’ve seen her in action! She is ace, her work environment is mostly male and when I see I her in her hard hat and hi vis I just think “go gettem girl!!”

And yes I agree ppl are too quick to associate looks with shallowness and bitchiness. She also has an amazing friend group from primary school still!

I think that a lot of people who seem incredible from the outside are just putting a lot of pressure on themselves. I know a few people who would put your cousin to shame by the sounds of it. Yes, to a degree it’s a result of luck but it’s mostly because they push themselves to their very limits. I am in awe of them (just like you) but definitely not envious. This kind of perfection is difficult to achieve and often a result of unattainably high self expectations.

I knew someone like this, gorgeous, talented... I wanted to hate her but couldn't as she was so lovely.

Then I discovered she had a abusive husband Sad. She could have had any man she wanted and she ended up with a bastard.

GlitteryGracie · 22/01/2020 21:34

Yes I went to school with sisters who were like this. Utterly gorgeous, intelligent, musical and to top in all they were really, really nice girls.
One's a top surgeon now so we get regular updates via the local press.
Good luck to them.....maybe somebody somewhere is saying the same about me Wink

I look at these work hard-play hard types -
And have to accept that I am a lie-in-bed type. I'll never die of work-related stress though!

Parttimers · 22/01/2020 21:38

@Reginabambina I would normally agree...however the reason I am in awe is she is extremely natural, she doesn’t need to put pressure on herself really. Things come very naturally to her, study, work etc. She’s a hard worker but not in a stressful way. And she still looks stunning in a hoody and a hard hat 🤣🤣

I know someone just like this. We were mates in school and back then I'd wow over how she's just so gorgeous (we used to say how she was the double of Megan Fox in Transformers), naturally very bright and effortlessly cool, yet so genuine and nice that most people just seemed to gravitate towards her. The only people that didn't like her always seemed to come from a place of envy as they could never point out an actual reason why they didn't like her, usually just 'she's so in love with herself' even though she was in no way vain.
This girl ended up pregnant straight out of sixth form, and the envious ones practically buzzed and would float that she's 'fucked her life up now', yet this girl just delayed uni by a year, then went on to complete her degree with honours, became an accountant with a company that paid for her to do her masters and bought her first home for her and her son just days before her 24th.
Now at 30, she's doing amazing in her career, recently engaged to someone who seems to be her best friend, earning more than most of the haters (and myself) could dream of, has a brilliant relationship with her now teenage son (who she raised single handedly) and she's still the nicest person I know.
I am in complete awe of her and actually joke amongst our friendship group that when I grow up I want to be just like her, even though she's actually a week younger than me Grin

^This x 100,000! 🤣🤣

Parttimers · 23/01/2020 09:26

But she’s not a “work hard, play hard” type at all...she just naturally seems to “get on” in life tbh...
