How much tidying do you do on a normal work day?

On an average day I will:

plump the sofa, fold blankets etc
hoover living room and hallway (muddy hairy dog)
dishes x2
sweep
mop (every other day)
wipe down surfaces
pick up crap off the floor as I go along

I feel like everyone else does much less yet my house is still far from perfect.

Dh and I will also do a deeper clean at the weekends. We alternate upstairs and downstairs.

I would get a cleaner in but I'm not keen on strangers in my personal space,

I think you worry about it too much.

I’m a single mum of one ds who lives with me. I work full time.

My priorities are, in order,
Cooked meals for us both every night
Ds getting his homework done
Clean sink/worktops every day
Clean bathroom 3 times a week
School uniform/bag/sports kit, my work bag & clothes ready each evening before we go to bed.,

The rest of the housework, washing, hoovering etc gets done early weekend mornings. I accept we don’t have a show home. And I wouldn’t want one.Smile

We have a cleaner fortnightly for 3 hrs.

On an average work day we dont do much more than clean the kitchen and tidy up. Might squirt some bleach down the loo if it needs it.

Not much, I live alone and it can wait until the weekend aprt from a small bit of washing up after dinner.
I do cat maintenance, litter tray, food bowls daily but that doesn't take long.
I prefer to spend weekday evenings doing hobbies, playing with the cat and relaxing.

We do about 20 to 30 minutes a day. We don't have children and both of us do our fair share so the house is always tidy and clean. However we don't have any clutter which I think makes it much easier

Make beds
Empty bins
Throw bleach down loo
Empty/refill cat litter tray
Sweep of downstairs, hoover up and downstairs as needed
1 load of washing a day
Wash up in morning and evening
Wipe over surfaces in kitchen/bathroom

We have a weekly cleaner who does a thorough clean. I wfh so tend to fit in the odd bit like hoovering up the breakfast crumbs with the handheld dyson, whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. Or putting a wash on at lunch time.

We clear the table after every meal, put dishwasher on. 1-2 loads of laundry a day. Vacuum the crumbs in the dining room/kitchen. Wipe down the table. All that every day. Will wipe down kitchen counters as needed, every 2-3 days minimum. Tend to use lots of chopping boards etc, so the counters don't get dirty and the boards go in the dishwasher. If feeling very energetic I might make our bed. Might put some bleach in loo if someone's made a mess.

The cleaner comes weekly and hoovers and dusts all main rooms, hall etc, bedrooms, bathrooms, mops floors, thorough clean of bathrooms, kitchen, makes beds and changes bedding.

Children expected to repatriate own laundry piles to bedrooms, from separate piles/baskets in utility. They all wash up own lunchboxes (primary age) and help lay table and clear away after. They also empty dishwasher daily.
