Positive Birth Company pack or book?

Posting for traffic!

Has anyone done the course, got the download pack or read the book from the PBC? Is it worthwhile? Does the book have the same content as the online pack (obviously in written form rather than videos!). What was the most useful part?

When's the best time to start? I'm due in May.

The pack is amazing you can watch along with your OH which is harder to do with a book! There are also mp3s in the pack you can listen to in bed at night time. Also the Freya app made by the same company was amazing during labour.

I watched the digital pack with my DH. If you’re not in a rush and follow them on Instagram they often go on sale. I got mine for £5 I think. Found it helpful but also read a couple of books I’d recommend - Stand and Deliver by Emma Mahony and Ina Mays Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin

It’s the same info in both so it depends on whether you’re more of a reader or a watcher. However, with the digital pack you get access to the Facebook group where people have written their positive birth stories which is well worth the money IMO.

I’ve got both, the book is good but the videos are better IMO. I’ve read the book on my commute and watching the digital pack with DP as he drives to work so can’t read on his commute. Neither are hugely expensive so personally I’d go for both. Start as early as you feel up to it! Practising as much as you can is only a good thing.

Good luck!

Good point about being able to watch with DH. He's definitely more likely to watch a video than read a book. It's my second baby and I got him a book to read first time round and he said he'd read "the important bits" Hmm

I also really enjoyed Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth so that's a good shout for anyone else reading! Smile
