I do think Etsy have lovely delicate earrings also.

Snuffkindle · 17/01/2020 12:43

Obsessed with Rosie Kent here
rosiekent.com/

TheReef · 17/01/2020 12:45

Pandora. I get green ears or they get sore otherwise

AceOfShades · 17/01/2020 13:06

I love toolally earrings as well, they sell them in JL
Also like Hush/mint velvet/Oliver Bonas. French connection do some good ones occasionally, and I like & other stories. I can wear anything in mine fortunately.

Wineloffa · 17/01/2020 13:10

I wear diamond studs which were a gift from DH. They cost £700. They never come out unless I’m going somewhere fancy and need statement /bigger earrings in which case I swap them for dangly costume jewellery usually from Argento or Accessorize.

olivehater · 17/01/2020 13:11

Pilgrim. Just a good level of quality and good price point. Nice mixture of gold and silver. I think they use Swarovski crystals for their more bling ones. I like other danish jewellery brands too.

ActualHornist · 17/01/2020 13:12

If you want to smarten up you might want to stick to gold

OMG mumsnetters do have some funny ideas!

Handsnotwands · 17/01/2020 13:15

Astley Clarke, Astrid & Miyu, Missoma but my recent amazing find is myjs.com. One of those dodgy places you see advertised on FB but i took a punt because i liked them and they were cheap and they're amazing! hypoallergenic, i can wear them for days / weeks on end without getting itchy and they're really lovely. i've just ordered a bunch more

MatildaTheCat · 17/01/2020 13:18

I have a decent pair of diamond studs which I’ve worn almost every day for the last 18 years. Maybe a bit boring but timeless.

I imagine a good quality imitation is difficult to spot unless they are under a magnifying glass.

MinnieMountain · 17/01/2020 13:18

John Lewis.

I've also got some cultured pearl studs I got for my 30th and some small diamond studs that I wear regularly.

Wineloffa · 17/01/2020 13:18

@olivehater agree re Pilgrim. I have some lovely blingy earrings by them.

OhioOhioOhio · 17/01/2020 13:22

Some of these are so beautiful but way out of my budget.

Etsy. I have a passion for handmade jewellery. The prices can vary a lot, but I usually buy only from European and UK sellers, to keep shipping costs down and hopefully avoid customs charges.

Ginkypig · 17/01/2020 13:28

Mine aren't regular studs they are more like body bars so no where for the gunk to hide! I give them a quick wash in the shower and every so often (2 or 3 times a year) a wipe with surgical spirit

Coincidentally there are pictures of my ears somewhere on style and beauty if anyone cares.

I am having an operation soon and I'm slightly worried as it's been so long since Iv had to take them out.

SleepwalkingThroughLife · 17/01/2020 13:36

OP, what is your budget? And what kind of thing are you after? Classic studs? Unusual things?

Damntheman · 17/01/2020 14:20

Etsy is great for unusual stuff like this! And not that costly either, last pair I bought there I think were about 15 quid. Alternatively I go to a shop in my home town when visiting old friends called Crystals, they have some beautiful silver jewellery. If I buy on sale I can get them for again around 15 quid. Otherwise I am very lucky to have a silversmith in the family and often pay them to make me things. They made me three pairs of silver stud earings for christmas :)

implantsandaDyson · 17/01/2020 14:24

I buy most of mine from Argento, I also buy earrings quite a lot as presents. Although I have a pair of amber studs that I am loathe to be parted from that I bought on holiday.

Iknewyouwerewaitingforme · 17/01/2020 14:29

Also diamante studs or small gold hoops from Accessorize + H&M mainly. Anything pricey wasted on me as I loose everything.

KarmaStar · 17/01/2020 14:29

I make my own.I find the store ones use very cheap findings and they don't last.😀

Kalifa · 17/01/2020 14:30

Lovisa. Fashion jewellery.

TheWernethWife · 17/01/2020 18:45

I have a few pairs from the Andea range in John Lewis. Recently got two pairs of silver earrings from White Stuff, really nice.

Rayna37 · 17/01/2020 19:29

I've always liked fairly plain studs day to day. I have some diamond ones now I bought a couple of years ago which I LOVE but over the years I've mostly worn gold or silver small squares, like tiny cubes, from high street jewellers. I also have a pair of round garnet studs that were my Gran's which I like. I've had pearls too but wouldn't wear for work as I find they're uncomfortable when you're on the phone!

M&S often have quite nice blingier stuff for evenings.

Bansku19 · 17/01/2020 19:32

I like minimal style and Thomas Sabo has nice ones. At the moment I have silver (not sure about that) rings that costed £5 in amazon. There hasn't been any reaction so far.
