Omfg I swear I'd love to sleep as deep as him.
He never ever hears dd wake in the night.. And lately during a sleep regression it can be 6 times between 1 and 5 ish... I'm shattered at 38w pregnant..
I nudge him..hard!. Shout him everything
I kinda gave up

His car alarm went off the other night.. Bloody teenage chancers! ( was a few in area in the fb page that night), I was shaking him. Yelling etc to get his keys.. After 10nmin he half awake walked downstairs.. Got a drink and came back up.. I said where are tour keys? Your alarm is goinf off.. He sleepily said I haven't got an alarm? And laid back down.. Bybnow I did get arsey and something clicked he jumped up and looked out the window..

Tonight I'd been in with dd who was unsettled. Came back in and he'd diagonal across bed. I've pushed him. Called him. Nudged. Light on.. Covers off. Shone phone torch on him.. And nothing.
I'm currently sat on the corner of the bed. Shattered and a bit cold but most of all getting angry that I can't wake him..

I've even covered his mouth and nose to make him ', gasp' and wake up but he doesn't lol.

The lying across the bed thing is infuriating. My DP does this when I get up in the night too. He also moves my pillows so he can 'cuddle' them. Prick.

Yes he's also impossible to wake up so I end up pushing him so that he rolls over (takes ages, doesn't always work) but then he ends up taking the duvet with him Hmm

I've just been rolling my elbow in his back.. Hard and nothing.. He stirs and that's it.

I'd go. Downstairs on sofa but the amount dd will wake up I haven't the energy to up and down the stairs all night.

Anyone local got a baseball bat

Not being funny but that doesn't sound normal. I mean what if there was a fire or something?

Can you buy an air horn? Grin Would wake DC too I suppose though Angry

My DP sleeps ridiculously deeply too. It drives me mad as I spend most of the night awake and jealous of his lovely sleep.

When he falls asleep on the sofa I can shake him and get no response whatsoever. I'm dreading how bad he'll be once our baby arrives in a few weeks as I don't think he'll hear her at night at all.

The only thing that wakes him is the fire bells at work when there's an emergency. He usually sleeps through several alarms set each morning despite him not having to get up until 6:30am. I'm awake most of the night yet still manage to get up at 5am for work with no problems.
He pissed me off a couple of nights ago - we were discussing whether to go to hospital as I was getting no movement from the baby. The bastard feel asleep while we were trying to decide! Didn't wake up again until his 5th alarm for work, and I'd left at 5:30am so he had no idea if I was at work or the hospital.

The baby is having a crap night and hasn't gone back to sleep since since my last post and I can hear my annoying prick of a DP snoring.

I'll borrow that baseball bat when you're done!

Plumbus · 10/01/2020 06:33

A sternal rub should wake him. Wink

(joke btw)

ChocolateCoins19 · 10/01/2020 09:00

Glad i'm not the only one.
His mum said he's always been the same.
When dd was born he heard her the first 2 nights I think because he was so amazed by her etc . Then back to normal.

I really. Shoved him hard and elbowed his head to get him to move.. He didn't move much but enough for. Me to lay down.

Roll on dds nap time after lunch.. I am going to crawl. Into bed and starfish lol

Dh is like that too.
I remember when dd1 was bawling her head off one night and I placed her mouth next to his ear and he didn't even flinch. Grin

The advantage is I can poke him quite hard in the ribs to get him to shut up snoring and all he does is roll over (which stops the snoring). Grin

DD was amazing and went back to sleep at 5:15-8:30 and DP was silent getting up and out for work so he's slightly forgiven as I've actually had some sleep Grin
