Typed ‘nappy rash’ into google to look for a alternate barrier cream and lots of images of babies with nappy rash completely naked. Some with their legs wide open. Who would upload these pictures?!

I know it is just showing the reality of nappy rash and is perfectly innocent but made me feel really uncomfortable

@BalloonSlayer thanks. The rash only tends to last a few days max and clears up with metanium but comes back after she does a poo even if it’s changed straight away. I’m wondering like someone suggested if it’s something she’s eating - will mention this to my sister

@Chuffit that’s interesting, never heard that about not using cream with disposables. She does use reusable wipes which I think is just bits of cloth cut up with warm water. Reusable nappies may be an option then

Creams with disposables is fine its reusable diapers you can't use cream with unless it's an all natural cream as it interferes with the absorbency and creates leaks. People have been using sudocrem and various others with disposables for years with no problems

My little one had nappy rash instantly from birth, really bad and for ages. Everyone commented on it and all I could say was I was trying all of the creams. Metanium helped clear it up but then it would come back again. I switched to cloth nappies for an unrelated reason and she didn't get the rash again until we used disposables when she went to her grandparents house and she got really bad rash and even a scab! (She isn't going back there if I can help it, sorting nursery out) We put her back in cloth, no creams or anything bar a water cream for the first day and it's cleared up again within a couple of days
