To think I don't need a double pram

Advice please ladies

Due to have baby number 2 in March I also have a DD who will be 2 in February.

I have my old pram from DD which I was planning on getting a buggy board for, then I was also planning on getting a babyzen and a really good sling for the days when DD could go in the pram for walks etc. DD will still be at nursery two days a week.

Is this too unrealistic will I need a double pram? I just think too big bulky DD can go on buggy board plus they are super expensive for a decent one?

19 months between my two and I didn't generally use a double buggy - sling and buggy worked fine, and gradually swapped to baby in the buggy and toddler walking.

We did get a second hand double buggy for a trip to legoland when they were 1 and 3 which I was glad I had, and we used on a couple of holidays.

Winter baby! (but also a winner in my eyes 😂)

Depends on the personality of your eldest in my experience. Mine would walk, but not in the direction I wanted to go in and she was a runner too. I had issues that meant I couldn’t wear a sling for long. So despite the fact I had a 3 year age gap, I had a double and it saved my sanity. I only used it for 6-9 months but I couldn’t have coped without it. I had friends with a similar age gap who didn’t need a double as their eldest was (and still is) the most placid child ever.

Similar age gap between my two. Before the youngest arrived I thought wed be fine, however a combo or the terrible twos and a new baby made the eldest rather less included to walk or indeed stand nicely on the buggy board. Being able to strap her in and distract her with a toy/drink turned out to be needed quite a lot.

I did a lot of setting off with baby in the pram and a sling, then putting baby in the sling and toddler in the pram on the way home. Having a buggy which could take either child without needing to change anything round was vital.

I also bought a cheep double second hand and was glad I did as it got a lot of use. I didn't drive so we walked everywhere.
