To ask why do I bother?

10.30 at night and our son (8) decides to take his drawer off the runners to sort the contents. We've been out for the day and just got back. H needs to help son get the drawer in, it's hard to do. H is ramming the drawer in, shoving sons stuff to one side with zero respect. I calmly suggested we leave it for the morning or ask FIL to do as he built the drawer set and knows how it goes. 20 minutes later H has continued to angrily ram the drawer back in and succeeds. I then ask why he has to he so angry about it and his response is that I wind him up with my tone. There was nothing wrong with my tone, hes looking to blame for his reactions. I'm bloidy fuming. I have pandered to that man over the whole of xmas, mainly for the sake of the children, to prevent meltdowns and manage him (hes aspergers). I've quietly cleaned up the mess behind him when hes tried to be helpful. I've helped him at work ... then he says that to me.
