I have noticed my 8.5 year old has smelt sweaty the last few weeks. I was surprised that this would happen so early and thought it was a one off but has been noticeable a few times now in the last 2/3 weeks.

Has anyone else experienced this at this age ?
I have been making sure he washes his armpits in the bath and was thinking of getting a deodorant as reading online probably better than getting him antiperspirat at such a young age ?

Can anyone suggest one ? Probably want a mild scent as don't want him stinking of Lynx or anything just yet 🤪

This is what we have always used.

Bionsen roll on is great. (No aluminium seems to be a universally advised requirement for kids). Older two DC started using around 8 as both very active and I started to ‘notice’. So introduced it as a habit to get into after showers for when hormones kick in properly and it becomes 10x worse! Figured if they’re used to using it, it won’t be a battle to convince them they really need to go upstairs and use some, haha.

That’s an MLM. Are you a presenter, everyday?

Another vote for proper soap rather than shower gel.

if you want a natural deodorant the Dr Organics tea tree one from Holland & Barrett is amazing!
