Boring hoover question

Aibu to ask for recommendations for a hoover that actually bloody works!
Everyone I’ve had so far has lost suction after a few months and is basically useless on carpet. 2 long haired girls and a cat means we get quite hairy carpets. I’ve had the vax pet, the vax cordless, Russel Hobbs, Hetty and a Dyson cordless. My carpets are making me feel sick. Please help!

Another vote for the Miele C3 Cat & Dog. I bought a cordless with the intention of retiring the C3 but it just isn't up to scratch, so the C3 is back on duty.

I have a Henry pet and it's amazing.

I’ve just ordered the Miele cat and dog. The save looks amazing but a bit pricier.

Hetty was fab, but she just started to smell really bad after a while and nothing cold fix it. Plus I found her a pain in the ass to store.

Sebo, built like a tank & does the job magnificently-probably not for lugging upstairs though.

Another vote for the Miele C3.

I have s Shark and its bloody fantastic, I have 2 Dyson Pets but neither got the dog hair out of my lounge rug, so for years I've brushed it by hand, then I bought a Shark and it sucks the dog hair up that my Dyson's couldn't. I wish I had bought the Shark years ago. Totally recommend them

Go for something with a power head - game changer.

I've got my robo vac. I love her. Busy tidying up for visitors today, wondering how I'd fit the vacuuming in and just set Dee on her way. Vacuumed for hours and has the living area ship shape. Now doing guest room while I have a rest.

I also have a Wertheim vacuum cleaner too, with power head. Don't use it very often though.
