I don't think exactly people care more about the cats, perhaps it's that snuffing out a tiny delicate creature like that is disturbing in a different kind of way than the gorey horrific murder?

I’ve read the premise, have no desire to watch it myself but is there a reason for the clickbaity, almost light-hearted title they named the show? I’d already read up and knew what it was but if I hadn’t and blindly just watched it on a whim, I’d be expecting something funny from that title, not a documentary about a serial killer.

They explain in the opening scene from the show. The number one rule of the internet, you don’t fuck with cats.
