Not an AIBU, posting for traffic. What warm coat do you really rate and where is it from?

I'd like something I could wear with work clothes etc.

@BathshebaKnickerStickers I bought mine for similar outdoor purposes. The beauty of down is it doesn't get sticky and sweaty.

If u want to b dry a north face coat is brilliant. A long NF parka is so warm and really its 100% waterproof in the heaviest rain

Lands End down coat, in the sale. Mine did me in Lapland, minus 26 centigrade, but just as good in the school playground!

TKMaxx

I have the long padded M&S coat mentioned here. It’s lovely.

Trespass do good warm weather costs

Jaeger do very smart wool coats. Pricey but usually quite a chunk off in the sale. Sizing is generous.

BonfireStarter · 29/12/2019 23:55

Hobbs

I just got a Seasalt parka really reduced in the sale.

It replaces one of the lighter weight Rab down jackets and is warmer (mind you down jacket was 8 yrs old...)

I have a great Regatta coat that keeps me warm up North by the sea.
If I had a bigger budget I'd get a Wuxley, they look very smart.
