To wonder if I was just really drunk or drink was spiked?

Had a messy night out last night. Knew I would be hungover today and drink more than usual. However I ate loads through the day to line my stomach and when I tot up the drinks it was alot but I've drunk far more at other times.
We were in a bar and there had been some sleazy bloke dancing near my friend and trying to come onto her. She wasnt interested and ignored him. He actually followed us into the next bar. I went to the toilet on my own and left friends on the dancefloor. All of a sudden I felt overwhelmingly weird and had to leave. I grabbed my coat and didn't say a word to anyone. I walked outside and leant against the wall. Couldn't stand properly so sat leaning against the wall. I remember putting my head in my knees and next thing I was being woken by 2 strangers asking me if I was ok! I couldn't stand up and just sat there. No idea how long I had been like that for but the time then was 2.45am. Then my friends came out and looked shocked and upset to see me there. They'd thought I'd gone home. They helped me up and I still felt really weird and tearful as I was confused. When I got home I went to bed and started twitching and shaking uncontrollably. It was awful and booze alone has never made me like that. Today I feel absolutely dreadful and it is a real effort even holding my phone and typing this. I can't eat or drink anything without being sick and just keep sleeping on and off. Really not sure what to think.

Yes exactly how I felt too when myself and a friend had our drinks spiked (which we weren't tested for but stupidly accepted 2 cocktails of someone I vaguely knew, did approach police but nothing could be proven unfortunately!)
Big hugs, it's a scary feeling and I'm sure you feel very emotional and down today, look after yourself and drink lots and lots of water, also contact your local police and file a complaint at the very least.

Yes, I would say spiked too, and if it takes you 3-4 days to feel normal again that would also be suggestive of something pharmaceutical ime. Very sorry this happened to you but you seem to have been comparatively lucky in terms of consequences, thankfully.

I had a similar experience once. I was so lucky that a friend walked me outside and made sure I got a taxi home but I remember sitting in the taxi and thinking I couldn't walk upstairs to my flat.
The next day, I went into work and everyone told me I looked awful and when I told them what had happened, they suggested my drink could have been spiked.

it doesnt sound good, so sorry this has happened to you OP:(
will you be able to notify police & the establishment that you were in?
It may help them to catch the perpetrator and this is an absolutely despicable thing to do :(

Could you of have a reaction to something you drank? I once had something very similar after drinking 3 beers. I would have sworn I had been spiked if it hadn’t been for the fact I was at FILs birthday drinks at home.

Turns out I was allergic to this particular beer I had never had before. Made me sick for a good few days after.

Was there a time your drink was out of your sight though? In my experience in big groups you'd leave it with someone / take it with you when you go to the loo. Your friends would have kept an eye on any sleazy guys hovering near your glass, surely?

PP who have had similar experiences, do you know you were definitely spiked or are you assuming it happened because of the unusual effects? I don’t go out drinking any more and I’m not sure it was such a common occurrence when I was in my teens and twenties as I don’t remember any of my friends thinking it had happened to them... is it more common these days?

Everyone's tolerance differs, so that amount of alcohol for one might be a Friday night out but for another it'd have them unconscious. I could drink what your describing so no, 4 large glasses of wine, a double and a shot you definitely shouldn't have lost two hours, IF that's what you're used to.

I was spiked and knew straight away but I'd only had two drinks. If you think you have been, you probably have. If you feel otherwise fine in yourself you can treat is as a hang over drink lots of water and sleep it off and count yourself lucky.

But PLEASE in future, tell your friends you're leaving and you don't feel right before you head off! Get them to help you get a BOOKED taxi. If someone has spiked you.. you left and sat in an alley, passed out, you've done literally what they wanted and today could be a very different day for you. Take it from someone who experienced it, be careful. I hope you feel better soon xx

Thanks everyone. I'm still feeling really really rough. No energy everything is exhausting. I've drunk a small amount, can't eat. Just thrown up loads again too and now nothing else to come up.
That amount of drink is usual for a big night out. I obviously get a hangover the next day and can be sick once but never like this. It's the twitching and shaking and that panicky feeling that made it different.
Drinks were on a table and we were dancing near them but were distracted to be fair.
