To want it back now?

Cat sitter visited for the last time on Thursday and still has my house key. Expected to get home to it posted through the door but she has now asked if it's okay to return next week. AIBU to ask for it back? I feel really uncomfortable with someone having a key to my house for any longer than is needed Blush

Tell her you need it back now for a visiting relative or friend.

Change the locks. She could have made a copy.

Surely if you trust her to have access to your house while you're away and to look after your cat, you trust her to have the key a few more days. Unless you actually need it for something YABU.

YANBU.

Change the locks. She could have made a copy.

But... she could also have made a copy during the time she actually needed the key. Changing the locks seems a bit of an over-reaction.

This would make me feel uncomfortable too

Does she need to do a personal handover so she can discuss something with you? Perhaps your cat/s had dodgy poo while you were away and you should keep an eye on things, or they’ve noticed fleas or a limp or something.

You don’t need to change the locks, Jesus. You trusted her enough to give her a key. I totally get being uncomfortable - if you’re worried about offending her say someone needs the key.
