Dry up milk supply how?

I want to stop breastfeeding (4 months). My baby will take a bottle of expressed milk or the odd formula already. I know I need to drop feeds gradually but is there anything I can take to speed things up? My baby will take the bottle from me but still tries to go for breast as she can smell my milk.

Slowly is they key - for baby's digestive system as well as your body. Just offer formula in place of a usual feed, gradually building up to all feeds (although night feeds are usually the last to go as it is so much less faff). Your boobs will adjust accordingly. When I did it, I continued the night feeds as I found it easier and I found my body only produced milk accordingly. Give yourself between 2 -3 weeks to move over.

Really really slowly. One feed per day for a few days then gradually reduce like that.
You'll feel really poorly if you do it too fast

If you really want to stop now, you need to reduce feeds gradually and stop expressing. You body produces what you need. If you reduce your supply will reduce. Why the rush?

If you do consider carrying on or mixed feeding, 4 months is when bf got easier for me (my boobs began to feel ‘normal’) and I think it is the same for a lot of people.

Okay thanks, agree it needs to be slowly but surely approach. I heard decongestants work to dry up, has anyone had success with these?

Took 18 months for my boobs to stop producing milk after 12 months of exclusively expressing for DD. Just warning you of what can happen!
