Princess Charlotte 'hugging' lady.

Is anyone else finding the newspaper headlines annoying this morning. Princess Charlotte did not hug the lady in the wheelchair, the lady hugged her. Which is inappropriate. You don't hug a small child in the street!

Defo not cute!

No. They bow.

And? I'm a woman and I don't want to bow. What's the issue, curtsey too anti-feminist for you?

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 27/12/2019 11:50

Very well put @FreeStar

LittleSweet · 27/12/2019 12:41

As soon as the Queen welcomed PA for Christmas she showed everyone she condones his arrogant behaviour and superiority complex. So they do think they are better than us. She lost all the respect I had for her.

Bluerussian · 27/12/2019 13:10

I don't agree with LittleSweet, Andrew is her son and she probably knows more about what went on than we do; he has been judged and sentenced before the full facts are known. I'm not condoning his shabby behaviour btw but people do make mistakes, I'm in no position to judge.

Limensoda · 27/12/2019 13:16

@41LittleSweet

Don't be silly...Hugging her son doesn't mean she condones his behaviour.
She's a mother. Mothers love their children whatever they do. Would you have preferred her to smack him in the face to prove to you that she abhors his behaviour?

VanyaHargreeves · 27/12/2019 13:31

I don't agree either

Obviously popular opinion is that PA is guilty

But he hasn't been found guilty of anything

They cut him out of the meet and greet

He is her son, where else is he supposed to go?

Alsohuman · 27/12/2019 13:49

You don’t banish your son at Christmas to please other people. Ridiculous idea.

Horsemad · 27/12/2019 14:00

@DickDewy Who are those peculiar people that leave their homes on Christmas day to fawn over the queen et al leaving church?

My in-laws go. Mind you, they haven't been for the past couple of years, so maybe they've come to their senses! 😆

Didkdt · 27/12/2019 15:03

I get the Impression Princess Charlotte is a feisty little girl. There are a couple of looks she has in the Christmas photos that remind me of my daughter and a couple where the parents smiles look a little nervous.
From the holding on to the flowers when someone tried to remove them to the dragging her mum out the church door I doubt very much she would have hugged that lady if she didn't want to.
Also Prince George gave the first hug which gets overlooked.

I like to think that members of the royal family are lurking on this thread, captivated by people who are captivated by people who are captivated by them, like a convoluted version of the Truman Show.

Susiesoap7 · 28/12/2019 10:43

Charlotte saw a toy and wanted it!
People must stop fawning, they are not like us

Boulshired · 28/12/2019 11:00

I just dislike the press focusing on the children, these children with the spot light on them equally until George comes of age and then his siblings will be irrelevant. With no choice to opt out of this until damage is done.

RowenaMud · 28/12/2019 14:19

these children with the spot light on them equally until George comes of age and then his siblings will be irrelevant.

It isn’t much better than YouTube families using their kids for business reasons.
