So hard on the workers.
My Asda is open from 8 am on boxing day, not even sunday hours.

Live and let live I say. Having stores open hurts no one.

Now in some parts of the country, where the make up is multicultural then I expect they could get many people to work in stores who aren’t all that fussed about Christmas.
However go outside the large cities and you will find that the majority of shop staff are white British, as is the make up of the population.
Let’s say ASDA decided to open because in London/Birmingham/Manchester etc had enough staff and customers who didn’t celebrate Christmas, that’s fine for those towns. But what if ASDA decide to do this across all their stores? Who works then?

Large towns and cities have a multicultural make up, and I celebrate that, but it would be erroneous to think smaller communities are the same.

None of the supermarkets in our town are open today, that's fine by me.
Somebody I know of has posted on SM that it's lovely that they have given the staff the day off and then posted later that they have ordered a dominoes because the supermarkets are closed Confused
