In a second brave attempt to start this thread I am asking:

Why do some MNetters never answer their doors during the day

and

Why do some MNetters require that people send them a text prior to phoning them

and

Asking what MNetter behaviour you find difficult to understand.

Lighthearted

@draughtycatflap

MistyCloud because I was distracted when I had to hack up yet another furball.

  1. Because if I’m not expecting anyone or anything (i.e. a delivery), it will be a salesman, bible-basher or someone asking me to take a survey. Most of my friends don’t live in walking distance, so are unlikely to ‘pop in’ as a surprise - which is a good job, as I’m far too untidy.

  2. Some of my friends do text to say ‘Can I call?’, which I think is very considerate, but I don’t expect it. If someone calls and I can’t take the call, I simply don’t answer. I might message back and say ‘Sorry, was in the middle of dinner’ or similar and offer to call back later.

  3. So many possible answers, but ‘Haven’t read the whole thread, but...’ has to be the winner. Why is what you have to say so important? I’d bet good money it’s already been said or that your question has already been answered. But no - some people just HAVE to have their little say.

Another vote for "dinner" as opposed to "tea".

Personally I do not think it matters what meals are called as long as I don't have to wash up.
