To be considering microblading?

I'm in my 40s and my eyebrows are getting sparser so I've been looking into micro blading. I actually went for a patch test today and have booked to go and have it done on Sunday but I'm not sure I'm making the right decision.

The bit where she did the patch test looks like my cat has scratched me only with some dye rubbed in it as well. It does look a bit like an injury And I'm worried that if I have that all over my eyebrows I'm just going to look like I've had a massive fight with my cat!

Some friends have told me of someone they know who really regretted having it done because it meant she had to wear make-up all the time otherwise her brows looked overdone.

Am I being unreasonable to have it done? Will I regret it? Should I just stick to filling them in with powder in pencil?

You need to do more research and only go to someone who is AMAZING at this .

I have pale blonde eyebrows and sick to death of colouring them in. I'm planning to try Henna first. A few friends have had microblading and it looks very artificial unless you are naturally very brunette.

Proficient microblading people will not give you dark eyebrows if you are fair - unless that is what you want. You shouldn’t be able to tell if someone has had microblading or not. If it’s obvious they have, then do not use their practitioner as they are probably rubbish.

I had mine done by a lady in Windsor called Renata. Think she’s on Instagram. No orange hue at all and they look natural. I’m not a really “done up” person (no fake tan, nails, wear v little makeup) so overdone would look silly on me. My microblading has faded now because it was done ages ago but still looks good. I will be getting it redone after I have my baby.

I wear makeup about twice a year and I've never done "brows". However I'm on chemotherapy and have temporarily lost my eyebrows. Lots of people have microblading before chemo but I daren't risk infection. I decided I would get them done afterwards instead.
Then I went on a beauty course for patients run by a beautician who showed us several ways to do eyebrows. Her first words were "remember they are sisters not twins!".
I was amazed how easy it was and I can honestly say I draw my eyebrows on in 20 seconds every day even though I still wear no other makeup. I wouldn't bother with microblading now.

PS once it’s done it looks a bit alarming but no one noticed after that and is shocked I’ve had it done (probably in part because I’m not very girlie!)

2 of my friends have had it done and it looks a bit weird on both of them tbh. I'd love to get ny eyebrows sorted but seeing how it's worked out for my friends, I'm not having it done!

I had mine done and love them, the woman I went to used to be a medical tattooist and trained in car therapy etc, we had a good chat and talked about all the horror stories, the going orange thing is from cheap dyes that people who aren’t well trained use to lower their overheads. Look for someone from a medical background not just a beautician who’s done a week long course. Ask to see photos of previous work too, if you’re worried about slug eyebrows you’ll be able to see very quickly from photos of some one can only do one look... woman I saw really listened to me, I don’t wear makeup, just wanted a little bit more coverage where I’d over plucked in younger years etc. Mine are really subtle and I doubt anyone would know they’d been done
