To buy a Mini Countryman even thought its uncomfortable?

So...last week the dilemma was that dh wouldn't go look at a Mini Countryman even though it was a beautiful example - Chili pack, low mileage etc.

We did go and test drive it. It looked immaculate. It had been looked after. It was the dream. But...I had fogotten how hard mini's are. I used to have a Mini and the feeling came right back.

This week's dilemma...So ..can I do it? Can I really go for style over substance? Can I buy it knowing that it's so uncomfortable?

Does a stylish and comfortable family car exist? I want something that looks like a mini and drives like a Golf.

I really wanted my new car to be a Mini Countryman. Over a couple of months I test drove two different ones, but just couldn’t commit. I’d had minis in the past and loved them, but I couldn’t say why I wasn’t taken with the new version. I know the ride was hard and noisy, but I also felt a bit claustrophobic. The dash and instruments felt fiddly compared to my the all touch screen car.
I then discovered VWs new car the T Cross. Quite a wait for one, but it’s wonderful, and full of safety features. Too much for me to say here, just go and test drive one.

IHaveBrilloHair the one I have now probably won't have much more when it goes back in just over 2 years time, I have only done 1100 miles in just under a year, none of my motability cars over the last 12 years have ever done more than 15k at the end of contract. I only go as far as my mum's 3 miles away or the supermarket a mile away now & I don't go out most days, I may extend the contract to 5 years as I paid a high deposit on this one.

I don't go out much either, and usually just to my local shops.
I paid £700 deposit for it because I need an automatic, though I'm happy to change it as I fancy a newer version and a different colour.
I may keep the next one longer though.
