Went to see Christmas show last week, really looking forward to it. Spent most of the night looking at this! I'm only small and am used to restricted views but give me a fighting chance! AIBU to have wanted to swipe bloody hat off ladies head!? :-)

What a rude cow ( with horrendous taste in hats)

Being quite dainty I suffer from some variation of this problem a lot. I’m a magnet for tall men or women with bouffant hairdos (or vice versa). It’s particularly bad in older theatres where the seats can be directly behind each other rather than offset - newer theatres are designed better.
Do theatres keep booster cushions in stock as a matter of course, or is it just for children’s productions? I’m starting to think I should just smuggle in my own.

She’s a hat twat.

I would’ve been glaring at it wishing I had a lighter to set it alight. Of course I wouldn’t have actually done it, but that’s what my rage would’ve been thinking Xmas Grin

my friends and I did say.
That could be politely "please could you take your hat off because it is restricting my view"
Or Op bitching with friends and hoping she'd overhear and remove it. "Look at that stupid hat you'd think she would have taken it off..." In which case most of MN would have told her to sit up straighter and bring the hat up to as tall a point as possible. Grin

But also is it indoors? Because the person in front clearly has their coat on, and I'd hazard a guess that the brown arm you can see in front is a wool coat.

Woolly hats make my ears itch anyway.

Definitely indoors, woman a few seats from her had a spaghetti strap top and wasn't too cold so def no need for coat and hat ... It was also type of concert that people get up and dance at end...her and her husband didn't budge at all, really obvious when you're sitting 2 rows from front.
