To not take kids to see Santa

They've both seen Santa at school and nursery already.
There's so many grottos and seems like so many eateries are now offering breakfast with Santa etc.
We have done these things in the past but I can't help but find it totally OTT. This time of year is busy enough.

Many reasons

  • he got a present that is about as far away from his tastes as humanly possible
  • snow, beard etc were obviously fake (why would santa need to wear a fake beard? he’s observant)
  • why would santa have time to sit around before christmas rather than work? he knows what a deadline is :)
  • why would santa charge?????

Yes I have thought about the charging thing before. Of course it wouldn't make sense to charge if he was real! But I'm glad mine hasn't got that far to think all this! She is 6 though so you never known what she'll start thinking
Didn't have this problem when we were little!

Yanbu. These ott xmas things seem mostly for social media posturing to me, and over stimulate kids.

Keep it simple.
