Husband invited his mates 3 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs for 2 nights stay this weekend and fucked off this morning for 3 hrs to leave me to entertain, clear up from last night (that i cooked) and make breakfast for them. I’ve just been asked to play a league match for a team mate who’s ill tomorrow morning - is it rude to fuck off for 3-4 hours and leave them?

Go for it. It’s your weekend as well. You did dinner last night and did a lot today. So it’s his turn for a while now

selmabear · 14/12/2019 21:43

I'm assuming he didn't discuss with you before hand about leaving you to do everything so yes he was fucking rude to leave HIS guests.

CharlotteUnaNatalieThompson · 14/12/2019 21:43

Course it's not. And, who can complain? Certainly he can't! They're his bloody friends and he thinks it's fine to piss off for hours

selmabear · 14/12/2019 21:44

Posted too soon! You should go and do your own thing tomorrow absolutely!

OlaEliza · 14/12/2019 21:44

Where did he go this morning? And yes, go tomorrow!

Toorahtoorahaye · 14/12/2019 21:47

He went to the gym to train

I only met them once over a year ago but they’ve been really lovely

Do it!

Josephinebettany · 14/12/2019 21:51

He went today for a few hours so you go tomorrow so a few hours. Perfect. Make sure you go nice and early so he has the breakfast and clean up to do

Aragog · 14/12/2019 21:53

He invited his friends and children over and then went out to the gym?!?!

How rude of him!

I'd definitely be going out tomorrow.

Smelborp · 14/12/2019 21:56

Of course it isn’t rude of you! It’s rude of him to treat you like the hired help.

HundredMilesAnHour · 14/12/2019 21:59

He went to the gym when he had guests? That's SO rude.

Just as these so-called lovely guests are rude for leaving you to do the clearing up when you made dinner (and breakfast). Have they lost use of their arms and legs?

Cherrysoup · 14/12/2019 22:01

Bloody hell, he’s so fucking rude! You forget the gym when you have house guests. That’s bonkers.

Toorahtoorahaye · 14/12/2019 22:01

They helped clear up and have been lovely - hence my hesitance.

SabineUndine · 14/12/2019 22:02

His guests are probably mortified.

FruitcakeOfHate · 14/12/2019 22:05

Nah, leave him to it. And tell him it had better be spic and span when you return.

HundredMilesAnHour · 14/12/2019 22:05

Ok, we like the guests then. Your DH not so much. Is he a professional athlete that can't miss a training session? I'm guessing not or you would have mentioned it?

GreatestShowUnicorn · 14/12/2019 22:06

Please tell me there's more to this like he's a professional athlete or something if he's just a regular guy who likes to go to the gym then he has a problem! Go and play your match of course.

Toorahtoorahaye · 14/12/2019 22:09

He has a marathon coming up - not a professional athlete tho!

OP posts:
HundredMilesAnHour · 14/12/2019 22:14

Sorry OP, that's no excuse. He could easily have moved his training around a little. Or got up early when everyone was still in bed to go for a long run and been back to make them breakfast. He sounds selfish.

Go play your match.
