Is my daughter justified in smothering me!
We're sharing a hotel room and it doesnt matter what position I sleep in, I snore like freight train. How can I stop it? I've tried front, back, side, other side. But she keeps shouting at me!

Haha yes totally!! My husband is currently not in the bed (hotel room) also because he snores so bad.

Also he’s actually been told it’s because of the cartilage in his nose and will take an op to fix, so worth being checked by a doc.

Dhalandchips · 14/12/2019 05:08

I've been wondering about asking for an op but it's not life threatening! Well it is currently...!

I know but it can be so I’d get it checked, it’s very closely linked to sleep apnea

Dhalandchips · 14/12/2019 05:27

I'm going to stay awake so she can get some sleep!

Lie on your front

My husband's snoring is better when he sleeps on lots of pillows.

If you always snore that badly you should ask for a sleep study. Sleep apnea is not something you want to go untreated if you have it.

This ^^
DH never used to snore. A few years ago he started to snore, and it got worse and worse until it became obvious that he regularly stopped breathing while he was asleep. He underwent a sleep study and it was discovered that he was stopping breathing 50 times an hour. He now uses a CPAP machine at night. He is a medical enigma as he is not overweight. In fact he is the only person in the waiting room at the sleep clinic who isn't overweight.

Snoring is no laughing matter. It indicates a health issue in the snorer and is utterly shit for the person having to put up with it.

Please go and see your GP. It is selfish not to adress this problem.
