Moving away

Labour have all these big plans to improve the NHS, at the expense of the taxpayer. At one point they had taxes at 98%! WIBU to move to Norway if taxes get too high (over 60%) or am I just being greedy? Don't really want to move away but if it came to it Norway would be a good option. I have 2 DC age 15 & 12 if that changes anything.

Obviously all depends on whether or not Labour win, but a colleague said I was being ridiculous when I mentioned it so wondering what others think.

Yes please do

We’ll move if Corbyn gets a majority. Why Norway? A lot of people we know have said they’d look to move in the even of a far left government, it’s the normal response of a rational educated person.

Not ridiculous at all! If it's good enough for Caudewell, Branson and Sugar...

Forgot to explain. We have friends in Norway and the city they live in has a good international school that the DC could go to so no need to worry about language barrier. The other option would be USA but it'd be harder to get a visa.

Interesting post doing the rounds, basically listing countries which already have in place items in the Labour manifesto. Turns out that moving almost anywhere will expose you to bits of the Labour manifesto that you might not approve of. Norway has a wealth tax.

Labour have all these big plans to improve the NHS, at the expense of the taxpayer. How else would you propose to fund it? Or should we go to a model where only those who use it have to pay for it?
