by giving my DS good-bye kisses?

DS is 17 and has become incredibly moody over the past year or two... He used to be such a sweet little boy, some people even called him a "mama's boy." It's been tough around the house lately because DH is gone often for saxophone concerts and tours. I'm used to giving my DS a good-bye kiss on the cheek before he goes to school, but lately he's been all grumpy and even swore at me! Am I in the wrong here?

He doesn't want to be kissed, accept his boundaries and space.

You're not unreasonable to offer a goodbye kiss but you shouldn't insist if he doesn't want one. I'm sure he knows you'll give him a hug/kiss anytime he wants one. The swearing is unacceptable (to me) but it depends on what your language boundaries are like. Grumpiness is likely to be a teen thing; it's harder for them to regulate their emotions than an adult.
