Ways to entertain a 4 year old and 2 month old

Feeling like a crap mum as 4 year old DD is being a bit neglected because 2 month old DD has been in hospital and now is a bit clingy during the day. I've been lucky so far as DD1 has been at nursery or DH has also been home but from January I'll have both of them two days a week. What do I do that keeps DD1 entertained and also like shes got mum's attention with DD2 basically on me all day. Unfortunately she will not go in the sling with me- though will with DH..

Have you really persevered with the sling? Maybe she'll relent!

The park? Take baby in the pram to the park. Hang interesting things from the pram for baby to play with while you play close by with DD1.
Swimming?
The cinema?
Library or Children's Centre play/sing sessions?
Sensory group?

Get some help with the sling and then basically do whatever it takes to keep the 4 year old entertained

I think it's my chest. She's just uncomfortable. Was the same with DD1. Just won't settle at all

Large chest? I have & it’s fine so long as you have baby up high enough (close enough to kiss). Or try a hip carry?
Most babies aren’t too keen on going into a sling but love it as soon as you can move.

I just did everything I would normally do with the older child but baby was in the wrap & I found warm enough places to BF! So often would bf in car when we arrived at playpark then wrap & walk baby round playpark while older played. Museums are excellent. Lots of castles etc

How the hell would swimming work with two children of this age?!

I’ve found a network of small soft plays, play cafes, small secure parks and toddler groups worked well for me.
