To want the nagging to stop

I am sick of feeling nagged- it's so common now that I am even nagging myself- be more waste conscious, be eco, don't buy this, don't travel here, don't use a disposable cup, don't eat too much meat, or sugar, don't waste money, don't be high maintenance, don't be a pushover

I'm thinking that I am going for a digital detox- maybe as a New Year thing. I feel unhappy and my brain never stops whirring with all the things I am meant to do to be a good citizen. For info, I am frugal, mostly veggie and fairly eco- conscious so I don't need to know all the reasons I need to do these things- I already agree- but I have nagging overload!

The definition of a nag is someone that’s not being heard.
It’s dull and depressing to keep hearing it, but not as dull and depressing as the end of the world. We do need to act now.

Bury them again what we can do as individual is limited, unless it’s pressure the policy makers to wake up.
I profess to want a simple life, but I wonder how I’d cope when life feels limited, rather than simple? I agree it’s a hard path to negotiate.

Enjoy your digital detox though.

Where does this nagging come from? Because I haven't really noticed it as a general 'thing'.

There's the occasional news story or MNer or Facebook post talk about these things but I don't think it's as bad as nagging.
