To be annoyed at people blaming the immigrants

Yet again today a family member, Big Big Brexit supporter, (sharing all he can true or false he doesn't seem to care) shared a post that "the NHS isn't failing because of the aging population, it's failing because of the immigrants using it"
Coincidently on my time line directly underneath was a post from our local hospital stating that waiting time in A&E is 6 hours, can people please check the care they require before turning up.

Would I be unreasonable to comment that his post is not explaining the cause of the NHS problems, there are many but the biggest is EVERYONE who chooses to misuse the service, for example the people with a potential break that can be seen and treated at our local minor injuries unit (less than 5 miles away AND has xray facilities)

It's complex. Budgets for so many services have been slashed. In the sector I work in, we have had huge cuts. In recent years yes we have had a large number of Eastern European migrants who can't speak a word of English coming through our doors. Our already struggling service then needs to pay £10 per letter for each one we need translated, £20 per hour for an interpreter for appointments. This money has to come from somewhere. To say immigration has had no impact whatsoever on services is naive.

The big problem is (apart from funding and staffing and with the election I wont go into it) - people using it instead of a GP.
Last time I went to A&E there was a lady in front of us kicking off that her childs elbow hurt and it takes too long to see a GP so A&E should see them now. She was certainly British. My SIL has family that are up A&E for the slightest sniffle. And they're not immigrants either. Hmm

I live in a mainly white/tory area, and people are openly racist here. They literally look at me like there's something wrong with me when I express my own views. I just say, yeah alright then Alf Garnet.

Everyone has opinions on all sorts of cross sections of the population.

There are immigrants that aren't great for the economy who may use services that some may say they don't deserve. However, there are immigrants who are fantastic for the economy and fill very important roles, without which the country would suffer. You can't tar everyone with the same brush.

They do cost money. They do get social housing

I just say oh where did you see that, a study I read by x university (or whatever) showed immigrants to be the group using the NHS the least, and 'health tourism' only accounts for x % of NHS spending so it would be interesting to read an alternative.

They will not have an answer or will way their mate who's cousin is a cleaner at the hospital said that it was full of immigrants etc
