I want to take my child DS to Legoland before Christmas. Some are saying that a theme park is not chritmassy.

AIBU?

I think if your child will enjoy themselves then why not? I dont think thats unreasonable x .. plus he may have more fun there than at a christmassy place Wink

Yes that’s what I thought Smile

Really? You need a poll on this? Shock

NeedAnExpert · 10/12/2019 13:21

I didn’t think it was open over winter?

Lockheart · 10/12/2019 13:22

If you want to take him then take him, you don't need Man's validation.

firawla · 10/12/2019 13:25

It’s very Christmassy at this time of year, they have a Santa and all festive bits on rather than having the whole park open. We’ve been at Christmas a few years ago and it was great, so I say go for it

SleepingIsOverrated · 10/12/2019 13:28

Legoland is very Christmassy right now!! If you book make sure you book tickets that include the grotto and keep in mind that not all rides are open. X

I'd have a look at Warwick castle over Legoland.........even I left there believing. It's absolutely amazing.

RhymingRabbit3 · 10/12/2019 13:34

Well legoland isnt particularly christmassy but that doesnt mean he wont enjoy it.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 10/12/2019 13:43

Thanks all

There's a version in Europe which is all indoors.
You get the joy of playing Lego and keep your feet warm and dry.
Win win.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 10/12/2019 13:44

I didn’t realise it was a poll Blush

You can book to meet Santa at Legoland - we did last year and he was the best one I've ever seen, it was brilliant. Some areas of the park and some rides are closed but it is not as busy as usual. We didn't have to queue even for rides like ninjago and we could get straight back on.

VisionQuest · 10/12/2019 15:00

Legoland is great, but usually packed year round.

If possible I would say go during term time!

DaisyDreaming · 10/12/2019 15:02

Only you can decide whether it’s worth it. My friend went, they had a lovely day and received a £10 gift from Santa who was perfect and the ‘real santa’ but lots of unhappy people who had spent £200+ on it. My friend has annual passes and gets a free carer ticket

orangeteal · 10/12/2019 15:03

We are doing the Santa sleepover, I would be surprised if there were tickets left for the weekend they tend to get booked up far in advance.

orangeteal · 10/12/2019 15:05

(For Santa at least)

Winterdaysarehere · 10/12/2019 15:07

Just back from Legoland hotel.
Park was closed but hotel itself was worth visiting!! Loads to do in the hotel. Think some winter thing on for Xmas but don't know details!!
Take plenty of snacks as hotel meals are expensive!!
We got take away in the room!!
And took a cheeseboard for when dc were asleep!!

Greenbutterlfy566 · 10/12/2019 15:17

Winter- was the hotel busy?

3 other families that I saw!!
Small splash pool and a small pool to swim in. Book an hour session in arrival /booking.
Ps4 section upstairs in the main zone.
Meet and greet Lego characters.
Dc (11+5)were happy playing in the themed room tbh!
Breakfast was included but ditched the restaurant evening extortion racket!

Greenbutterlfy566 · 10/12/2019 18:28

Sounds good
