Got home from work after a long stressful day and found that my husband gave our 3 years old rotten cucumber to eat.

I was furious!!

Some background information-my mum stayed with us for a few months to help with my little one while I worked full time. She doesn't like throwing anything away so as I didn't want to offend her I left her to do whatever she wanted. She left on Saturday and as I had a busy Sunday I didn't get a chance to empty the fridge.

There was some "dead" already cut cucumber in a plastic container in the fridge. DH couldn't be bothered to check it and he just put it in a bowl for dd to eat. I don't think she touched but just the fact that was on her plate made me sick 🤢

Honestly is it that difficult to check???? He's blaming it on my mum :-/

What do you think?

Rotten cucumber? Was it holding it’s shape? If so it was fine.

Bloody hell! When your child is old enough to explore the garden you are going to be furious and crying daily!

Cucumber doesn’t rot as it’s already green, but yes it does go quite watery. It’s okay though as the same happens if you accidentally freeze it

It was watery and a bit slimy?! I mean I would have thrown it away had I known. I guess I've overacted and I apologised. We are good :-)
Not the crime of the century I guess.
