When i talk to people who are older than me - they had it really cool and wild in their teenage years. Political activism, crazy partying, sexual adventures - all sorts of fun. Or the younger generation - they also have interesting things going on. I'm in my mid 30's - and looking back - only things from my youth i remember were videogames (which would look sad now) and drinking to the excess. Nothing else. No cool music, memorable events, let alone any political stuff. And i wonder - what went wrong? Did i miss out on stuff, or it it was just boring and uneventful times?

I'm 42 and had an amazing youth. No pressure no phones no social media. You lived more in the moment and yes there were lots of parties with sound systems in fields and on beaches. Mid to late 90s it was truly beautiful.

Op you are young !! Go out and do whatever you dream of.

My youth was really fun - partying, booze, drugs, a few men but not many.

I'm glad it was fun and really enjoy being middle aged now with no regrets, other than wishing I'd shagged that hot Parisian who tried it on with me 24 years ago!

What waterrat said. Do it now. No time like the present.

But being hedonistic and a self indulgent activist doesn't suit everyone.

Also don't analyze things too much it reduces pleasure.
