Carrying around progress reports in secondary school

DS is in yr7. Everyday he needs to have an equipment card and uniform card in his blazer pocket (there are daily inspections and 5 ‘strikes’ means detention. They have also all just been given their progress reports (laminated and so tiny they are barely readable) which they must have on them at all times or they will be sanctioned.

Along with his timetable, school map, hall pass and emotional regulation cards (ASD related ), DS has pockets full of papers!

AIBU to feel that needing to carry around a progress report is pushing it too far? DD goes to a girls school and they don’t have any of this!

DS is the same. Top blazer pocket has a uniform/equipment card (and I'd put the progress report there too) one front pocket has a timetable, one has a hall pass. Inside pocket has ruler, pens, pencil and calculator the other has his phone and cash. His blazer is very heavy!

Who looks at it? (Rather than just checking he has it) Is it to keep their progress in the forefront of the students minds or something?

@Icky yes he does, with a full pe kit every day and all his books. Everything needed regularly goes in the blazer to save having to waste time
